One of the best alternatives to Microsoft Office and the price is great! If you are looking for a programs like Word (Writer), Excel (Calc), PowerPoint (Impress), Access (Base) as well as Draw that allows you to create a simple diagram to a dynamic 3D illustration and lastly they have Math that allows you to create mathematical equations with a graphic user interface or by directly typing your formulas into the equation editor.

So, the pros are
- The price is one of the biggest selling points in my opinion and they update fairly often which is great!
- Ease of use, this program is pretty easy to learn and they have tons of online help in their support section.
- It's easy to install and takes less room on your hard drive then regular Office.
- It doesn't sap your resources when you are running one or multiple programs at one time, so multitasking is a breeze!
The cons are
- It's not a flashy as regular office, which in my opinion isn't a deal breaker when I am looking for a good, solid program.
- It doesn't come with Outlook and you may find that hard to live without but on the next review I have a replacement for Outlook that is as fantastic as OpenOffice.
